student of the month story

                     Jake Bradbury has been voted for the student of the month award by bowie faculty. Jake attends James Bowie high school in Austin, Texas. Jake has been voted student of the month for the month of April. Jake's parents and teacher have pushed him to do his best and improve in his school work. 

                  Freshman Jake Bradbury has been selected to be the student of the month for April.

 " we are very happy and pleased to have jake win this amazing award," Mr. and Mrs. Bradbury said.

 Bradbury was very shocked to know that he has won this very special award.

 "I just couldn't believe that I have won this award, even though I have worked so hard to do well in school," Bradbury said.

               Many students keep up their grade and try really hard in school to try and get the student of the month award.

" I was very proud of jake even though I really wanted the award but I'm still really happy for him.," Carlos Jones said. 

Teachers and students all have a say in who gets this award.

 " I voted for jake to get this award because he keeps to himself and gets his work done in class," Clara Johnson said.

The next student of the month will be announced at the end of may.

    My topic is should recreational marijuana be legalized. I think that recreational marijuana should be  legalized.
    Many people smoke recreationally to get relief from depression and anxiety. After smoking marijuana you get the feeling of joy and relaxation. Smoking for some people can be a way of just forgetting problems and relaxing. when you smoke weed the effects of smoking can increased sight, hearing, and taste perceptions.
     I do think that we should should out a age restriction on being able to smoke recreational marijuana. I think that the age restriction should be 18. If you smoke marijuana before your brain has fully developed it can effect the way you respond to certain things.
    Marijuana is the most popular among all the street drugs. since marijuana is the most popular among all the street drugs it will be easier to access the drug which means anyone can get there hands on the drug. The police can't really stop any of these drug buys so it would just be easier to legalize the recreational drug.
    Since medical marijuana has been legalized so it has held the door wide open so that recreational marijuana can be easily legalized. Washington and Colorado are the first two states to have legalized recreational marijuana.
    If the we can legalize marijuana has a whole it will allow the police to focus are bigger and more time consuming crimes. Legalizing marijuana would save the government $8.7 billion each year.
     By legalizing marijuana it could help local governments struggling with rising cost. This can help local struggling governments by taxing the drug. Analyst predicted that in colorado they could raise between $5 and $22 million annually.
     More than 60% of the public are now in favor and support with the efforts to legalize recreational marijuana. over 35 million americans use marijuana recreational each year. We can't stop everyone from using recreational marijuana so we should just legalize the drug so we can all use it freely if you are 18 or older.
     Most marijuana arrest are minor offenses and don't require time in prison. marijuana being illegal isn't really stopping people from buying and using the drug. This drug is also less addictive compared to all the other hard core drugs.
     Everyday things you are drinking and eating or smoking are highly more addictive than marijuana. some everyday items are caffeine, sugar, tobacco, prescription pills and kicking alcohol. Marijuana is a breeze compared to all these other products that you can get addictive to.
     Marijuana compared to a lot other hard core drugs and just drugs in general have a really low risk of abuse to others. marijuana is a much heartier choice and can really benefit you. you can use marijuana has a sleep aid to help you sleep. Using marijuana as a sleep aid is also a really safe choice.
     No one has ever died of a marijuana overdose. This obviously means that marijuana is a really safe drug that can benefit you and help you in many ways. In conclusion marijuana should legalized for recreational use.
